Sandbox FAQ

Here are more details about sandbox companies and how to use them to test code as you develop.

Where do I start?

When you've registered for the sandbox environment, you'll get access to your sandbox company, alongside with your client id and client secret. Check your email to gather your credentials.

Then you log in to your sandbox company. Here you can choose to add your own data, or use the demo data provided to you by Spiris.

Depending on whether you added your own data, or the demo data, the next step is to either add a few customers and/or suppliers, or you can go right ahead and start by creating an order, an invoice or a voucher.



Can I import/export data to/from my sandbox company?

Yes. In Invoicing & Bookkeeping, go to SettingsImport and Export. There are various import and export options available, including the article, customer, and supplier registers.



Can I reset the data in my sandbox company?

Yes. Everything in the company will be archived except your company name, and archived information can not be reimported. Your user name and password for Spiris will remain the same.



Can I add more users to my sandbox company?

Yes. At vismaonline.com, go to Hantera användare - Skapa användare. Add email address, first name, last name and what role you want the user to have, then click Skapa.



How many sandbox companies can I have at a time?

As of today, you can have a maximum of 1 company per email address. If you need more companies, you can register for another using a different email address.
We're currently working on making in possible to have multiple companies under the same email — stay tuned!



Can I create region-specific sandbox companies?

Yes. Each sandbox company is tied to one region. Sandbox companies comes with region-specific sample data, which lets you test your application in an environmen tailored to your user-base.

Available regions:

  • Sweden
  • Norway
  • Finland
  • The Netherlands


Can I change the region of an existing sandbox company?

No. Once the sandbox is created, you can't change the region. If you want another region, you have to create a new sandbox.



Can I mix sandbox and production environments?

Yes and no.
You can use your production client ID to access your sandbox company. However, you cannot use a sandbox client ID to access a production company.



Is there a difference between the sandbox and the production environment?

Yes. While we've aimed to make them as similar as possible, there are some functions that are not available in the sandbox environment. Read more about this here.
